The remark, reported by Futurism, did not include an OnlyFans subscriber total or growth rate, and it should not be read as a statement about either service today.
What OnlyFans said about Netflix
Futurism reported on June 8, 2022, that Keily Blair, then OnlyFans’ chief strategy and operations officer, told reporters at a conference: “We’re not experiencing that slowdown.” Futurism attributed the remark to CNBC’s reporting from the previous day. CNBC’s linked page could not be independently retrieved, so the quotation here is presented as Futurism reported it, rather than as independently confirmed wording from CNBC.

The comment was a response to Netflix’s subscriber news, not a published comparison of the two services’ overall size or performance.
How many subscribers did Netflix lose in 2022?
Futurism said Netflix reported losing 200,000 paid subscribers in April 2022, describing it as the company’s first subscriber decline in a decade. That is a historical figure for Netflix in 2022, not a current subscriber measure.

Did OnlyFans disclose its subscriber numbers?
No numeric OnlyFans subscriber count or quantified growth rate appeared in Futurism’s account. It reported that the company was hiring and planned a team to help creators make more money, attributing that context to CNBC. Those details describe hiring and creator support; they do not establish how many subscribers OnlyFans had or how quickly its subscriber base was changing.
What the comparison does—and does not—show
The comparison in the June 2022 story is narrow: Netflix had reported a loss of paid subscribers, while an OnlyFans executive said her company was not seeing the same slowdown. The services have different offerings, and the story supplies no like-for-like subscriber totals or growth rates. It therefore does not support ranking their scale or concluding that one was outperforming the other overall.
