The Deluxe Edition includes the full game, Character Pass 1 and a Charlotte Katakuri early-unlock bonus. The pass contains nine playable characters across three DLC packs. Historical pre-order rewards were listed separately, and later passes and episodes are not included in the original Deluxe bundle by default.
What comes with the Deluxe Edition?
Bandai Namco lists the Deluxe Edition as the full game plus the first Character Pass and a Charlotte Katakuri Early Unlock bonus. The edition is listed in physical and digital formats, but a specific copy’s entitlements can depend on its platform, region, seller and SKU. Check the exact product listing before buying. Bandai Namco’s official game page provides the edition details.

How many characters are in Character Pass 1?
It contains three DLC packs, with three playable characters in each, for nine playable characters total. Nintendo’s US Switch listing independently confirms the pack structure and total. Nintendo Store Character Pass listing

Katakuri is an early-unlock bonus; the official description does not count that bonus as an extra character beyond the nine in the pass.

Are the pre-order bonuses included?
Do not assume so. Xbox Wire’s January 20, 2020 announcement for digital Xbox One pre-orders listed the Dynasty Warriors Law Costume, Dynasty Warriors Hancock Costume and Vinsmoke Brothers Early Unlock as pre-order bonuses. It described the Deluxe Edition separately as the full game, Character Pass with nine characters and Katakuri Early Unlock. That historical announcement does not establish that current retail copies include the pre-order rewards. Xbox Wire’s January 2020 announcement
Does Deluxe include all DLC?
No. The original Deluxe contents center on Character Pass 1; Bandai Namco lists Character Pass 2, additional episodes and Character Pass 3 separately. A January 22, 2026 announcement from Bandai Namco says DLC 8, “Special Selection Pack,” is available individually or through Character Pass 3, adding Eneru, King and Z. These later items should not be treated as included in the original Deluxe bundle unless a particular edition or listing says they are. Bandai Namco’s January 22, 2026 DLC announcement

What should you check before buying?
- Match the platform and generation: the listing should identify the exact console version.
- Confirm whether the copy is Deluxe and explicitly states Character Pass 1 and the Katakuri bonus.
- For a used physical copy or older retail stock, verify whether DLC entitlements are present and redeemable; a listing’s edition name alone may not resolve that.
- Check separately for Character Pass 2, Character Pass 3 and additional episodes if you want later content.
Bandai Namco’s January 22, 2026 announcement says the game is available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2 via Upgrade Pack, with free upgrades for owners of PS4, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One versions. The upgrade statement is not a claim that every older Deluxe copy includes later DLC; check the current platform and seller listing for the copy you intend to use.
