That contrast supports the chapter title’s question without settling it. Death means an ending for Saturn, but the reported succession suggests that the system can absorb even a major figure’s removal. The result is emotionally startling and politically cold—a fitting aftertaste for an arc whose conflict reaches far beyond any one antagonist.
Does Chapter 1125 end the Egghead arc?
It gives Egghead a consequential aftermath, but its reported events point forward as much as they close the arc. Saturn’s removal and Garling’s appointment mark a transition at the top of the Government, while the retained assets and Mother Flame access leave wider stakes in motion. Calling it a satisfying end depends on whether “end” means a meaningful consequence or a full resolution: the chapter appears to deliver the first more clearly than the second.
