The Japanese title listed for Chapter 1077 on Shueisha’s Jump+ is 〝早く気づくべきだった〟, commonly rendered as “Should Have Noticed Sooner.”
Who shot Shaka?
The attacker is unidentified in the available account of the chapter. The official Volume 107 synopsis says the traitor’s identity is revealed, but it does not name that person or explicitly connect the traitor to the shot. The “mysterious man” in the headline should therefore be read as a description of an unknown attacker, not a confirmed identity.

Does Shaka die in Chapter 1077?
The recap describes Shaka being shot in the head, but the material available here does not establish his fate beyond that cliffhanger. The official volume synopsis likewise describes an unexpected event without stating whether he survives.
Where does Chapter 1077 fit in the series?
VIZ lists Chapter 1077 between Chapters 1076 and 1078. Shueisha’s official One Piece site says the Japanese Volume 107, published November 2, 2023, collects Chapters 1077 through 1088. That makes the volume the confirmed print collection for this chapter.
