The Tuesday, February 10, 2026 NYT Pips board has three difficulty levels. The available written walkthrough below is for Hard; it gives the published domino placements in sequence. Hints for the February 10 Pips puzzle
- Every domino must be used, and each colored region must satisfy its printed condition.
- Track the two pip values on each domino as you move it: a placement can affect two different regions.
- For the Hard board, the published sequence begins by filling the Orange equal region with a 5/5 domino, then redistributes the other 5 and 0 values through Dark Blue and Blue 12.
- Some Pips boards may have more than one valid arrangement. Treat the sequence below as one published walkthrough, not proof that it is the only solution.
How NYT Pips works
Pips is a domino-based logic puzzle. Place all available dominoes into the board, rotating them when needed, while satisfying the condition shown in each colored region. The game offers Easy, Medium and Hard boards. The general rules are described in Tom’s Guide’s Pips guide.
- Equal (=): all pips in the region must have the same value.
- Not equal (≠): the values in the region must all differ.
- Greater than (>) or less than (<): the relevant pip value or values must be above or below the displayed number. Check the board’s specific marking when a region contains multiple tiles.
- Exact number or sum: the pips in the region must match the specified total.
- Blank cells: they have no special numeric condition, but still need to be filled by dominoes.
Tap a domino to rotate it. A turn is complete only when every domino fits the board and the regions’ conditions are met.

Place the 5/5 domino in the top two tiles of Orange =. Move the 5/0 domino from Orange = into Dark Blue =. Put 0/6 from Dark Blue = into Blue 12, then move 6/1 from Blue 12 into Pink =.

Leave the two bottom tiles for later. Move 1/0 from Pink = into Purple 0, and 1/2 from Pink = into Dark Blue 4. Move 2/3 from Dark Blue 4 into Pink 6, then 3/5 from Pink 6 into Blue 11.

Place 3/6 at the bottom, moving from Green < 4 into Purple > 4. Put 2/2 at the top in Purple =. Place 6/6 below that, from Blue 11 into Orange 6, and move 0/3 from Orange 6 into Green > 2.
Easy and Medium solutions
The February 10 guide shows Easy and Medium solutions as images, but the accessible written text does not list their domino placements. For those two boards, use the solution images in the Forbes guide rather than relying on an invented textual sequence. The sources describe three difficulty choices but do not give a numerical scale for comparing them.
