Spoilers ahead for My Hero Academia Season 7, Episode 19, “I AM HERE.” The episode intercuts two crises: the Todoroki family’s confrontation with Dabi, and All Might’s attempt to keep All For One from reaching Shigaraki. The official anime site identifies it as Season 7, Episode 19 and overall episode 157, and frames it as the resolution of the Todoroki family battle.
What happens in “I AM HERE”?
The episode brings the Todoroki family conflict to its stated resolution while a second, larger threat unfolds elsewhere. Dabi—Toya Todoroki—is nearing an explosion after heat has built up in his body. At the same time, All For One is flying toward Shigaraki in an effort to become one with him. The episode’s central tension comes from these simultaneous emergencies: one rooted in the Todoroki family’s history, the other in the future of the broader hero conflict.

The official anime announcement describes this installment as the decisive resolution of the Todoroki family battle, centering Endeavor, Shoto, and Dabi/Toya. It does not, by itself, establish every scene or the precise final outcome of the confrontation, so this recap stays with what the episode’s official descriptions support.
Why is Dabi’s threat so urgent?
Dabi has stored heat in his body to the point that he is close to exploding. Apple TV’s Japanese-language synopsis describes the threatened destruction as roughly five kilometers in diameter. That figure is a claim about the fictional danger in the platform’s synopsis, not a real-world measurement or an independently established estimate.

#1 Best Overall
- Middle school student Izuku Midoriya wants to be a hero more than anything, but he hasn't got an ounce of power in him
- What would the world be like if 80 percent of the population manifested superpowers called “Quirks”
- Heroes and villains would be battling it out everywhere! Being a hero would mean learning to use your power, but where would you go to study
This makes the family confrontation more than a private reckoning. The official framing is about a father and sons facing the consequences of accumulated mistakes and regret, but the immediate danger gives the family’s choices public stakes as well.
How do All Might and All For One fit into the episode?
While the Todoroki family crisis reaches its stated resolution, All For One is on course to reach Shigaraki and merge with him. The English synopsis asks whether All Might, the Symbol of Peace, can change the situation; Apple TV’s synopsis says his voice rings out when matters appear hopeless.
Rank #2
- MHA Fandom: Midoriya inherits the superpower of the world’s greatest hero, but greatness won’t come easy.
- Includes: The first 20 volumes of the bestselling My Hero Academia manga.
- Format: Softcover, 3840 pages.
That parallel gives “I AM HERE” its heroic frame. The episode places a family’s attempt to confront its past beside All Might’s effort to answer an immediate threat. Read as an interpretation, the contrast is between taking responsibility within a family and trying to serve as a public symbol when others are in danger.
What the voice actors said about the Todoroki confrontation
In comments published ahead of the broadcast, Shoto’s Japanese voice actor, Yuki Kaji, wrote: 「ついに燈矢と炎司、兄と父が、本当の意味で向き合う時がやってきました。」 A direct English rendering is: “At last, the time has come for Touya and Enji, brother and father, to face each other in the true sense.” This is a translation of Kaji’s Japanese comment, not an official English translation.

Endeavor’s voice actor, Tetsu Inada, described approaching the recording with Endeavor taking responsibility as a father after giving everything in the fight against All For One. Hiro Shimono, Dabi/Toya’s voice actor, characterized the installment as Toya’s decisive, true final battle. Their comments reinforce why the family confrontation is the episode’s emotional center, even as its danger reaches far beyond the family.
