Choose Love is Netflix’s first interactive romantic comedy, released on August 31, 2023. Viewers make choices for Cami Conway as she weighs her career and relationships, steering the story along different paths and toward multiple possible endings.
What is Choose Love about?
Cami Conway, played by Laura Marano, has a recording-engineering job and a steady boyfriend, but feels that something is missing. As the story unfolds, her choices put both her work and her relationships in play. Netflix announced the film on March 30, 2022, describing it as its first rom-com to receive the interactive treatment. It arrived on the service on August 31, 2023. Netflix’s announcement introduced the premise; its August 2023 guide confirmed the release date.
The people in Cami’s life
- Paul (Scott Michael Foster) is Cami’s boyfriend.
- Rex Galier (Avan Jogia) is a British rock star.
- Jack Menna (Jordi Webber) is Cami’s first love.
- Amalia (Megan Smart) is Cami’s sister.
Stuart McDonald directed the film. Josann McGibbon wrote it and is also credited as an executive producer. Netflix’s official title page lists the film and its cast.
How does the interactive movie work?
As the film plays, Netflix presents decisions for the viewer to make on behalf of characters. Some choices are light, while others involve more consequential questions; decisions can affect Cami’s career direction as well as her relationships. The selections guide the story through different paths and outcomes. Netflix describes multiple endings, but its official pages do not give a confirmed ending count.

The title’s “choose love” premise is a playful framing, not a promise that every decision is simply a vote for one romantic partner. The choices shape Cami’s wider journey, and the official Netflix title page asks, “Who will Cami choose?”
Can you watch Choose Love on your TV?
Interactive playback depends on the device. In its guide dated August 22, 2023, Netflix said viewers could make choices using a remote, game controller, mouse, or touch screen. The guide listed many newer smart TVs, streaming players such as Roku and Fire TV Stick, game consoles, browser playback at Netflix.com, and iOS or Android devices running the latest Netflix app as supported categories. That is category-level guidance from 2023, not a guarantee for every hardware model today.
