A reported US Netflix notice in 2025 said seasons 1–16 were due to leave on August 1, but later coverage said the departure was forestalled by an extension. That was a past licensing scare—not evidence that Heartland is leaving Netflix now. Availability depends on your country and can change, so check the listing in your local Netflix app before making plans.
What was the Netflix departure notice about?
On August 29, 2025, IMDb News syndicated a report from Fiction Horizon saying Netflix’s US notice covered seasons 1–16 of Heartland, with a planned removal date of August 1, 2025. The same report said an extension forestalled the removal. This is secondary reporting about a past US licensing event, not a current Netflix catalog confirmation. Read the August 2025 report.

The notice concerned Heartland, not Yellowstone. “Yellowstone replacement” is a headline comparison, not an official label from CBC, Netflix, or the show’s producers. The available evidence does not establish a current departure date.
How to check whether Heartland is on Netflix where you live
Netflix catalogs differ by country. A Netflix title page for Singapore confirms a listing for that market only; it cannot establish availability in the United States or elsewhere. See Netflix’s Singapore Heartland page, or search for Heartland directly in your local Netflix app.
#1 Best Overall
- Open Netflix in the country where you plan to watch.
- Search for Heartland and check the title page for the seasons currently offered.
- If Netflix displays a departure notice, use its Help Center guidance to check whether a title is leaving. Netflix Help: How to see if a TV show or movie is leaving Netflix.
Because licensing and season availability can change, a listing in one country—or an older removal notice—does not settle what is available in another country today.
What is Heartland, and why is it compared with Yellowstone?
Heartland is a CBC original series based on Lauren Brooke’s book series. CBC & Radio-Canada Media Solutions describes it as “A CBC original series, HEARTLAND is based on the bestselling series of books by Lauren Brooke.” CBC’s page also lists the show in its Fall 2026 schedule. See CBC’s official series page.
The “Yellowstone replacement” phrase is a comparison in the headline, not a claim that the shows are the same kind of series or that Heartland was formally designated as a replacement. The sourced information identifies its broadcaster and book origins, but does not provide a verified audience statistic or a current season count from CBC.

Yes. Lauren Brooke’s Heartland books are the source material CBC identifies for the television series. The books are a separate way to explore the story; the available information does not establish that every detail or storyline matches the adaptation. Specific editions and current retailer listings have not been verified, so check the edition and market before buying.
