The renewed speculation followed a TikTok Rodriguez posted on August 24, 2025, featuring her and LaLonde attempting the “All Night” bridal-carry challenge. The move involves one person trying to lift the other using a hook-and-sweep arm maneuver; Teen Vogue described friends and couples trying it.
LaLonde told Teen Vogue that cast members were hanging out, saw a co-star doing the challenge, and decided to try it together. “We like to have fun on TikTok,” he said. Rodriguez agreed: “We do!” and “We love TikTok!”
LaLonde also remarked, “It’s funny that people are so presumptuous!” The exchange offered a playful explanation for making the video, not a confirmation that the actors are a couple or a definitive denial that they are.

Why the video prompted speculation
Teen Vogue reported that speculation about the pair had followed the series since its December 2023 premiere. The close physical challenge drew renewed attention because it looked romantic to some viewers. But a viral clip and audience interpretations are not evidence of the performers’ private relationship.
Teen Vogue reported 29.9 million views for the TikTok in its August 29, 2025 article. That is the view count given at the time of publication, not a current total.

Jackie and Cole’s romance is part of the story
On Netflix’s series, Rodriguez plays Jackie Howard and LaLonde plays Cole Walter. Their characters’ relationship is a fictional storyline, separate from what the actors have said about themselves.
