NewJeans’ status is not a confirmed four-member comeback. In its latest located report, dated July 22, 2026, Yonhap said anniversary content featured Haerin, Hyein, Minji and Hanni, but Minji’s return to ADOR was still unconfirmed and no comeback date had been announced. ADOR had said in December 2025 that Hanni would stay with the agency and that Danielle’s exclusive contract had been terminated.
Where each NewJeans member’s status stood in the latest report
These are different kinds of updates: an agency’s statement about a contract, continuing talks, and an appearance in anniversary content do not all establish the same thing. Yonhap’s July 22, 2026 report is the latest located account here; it does not confirm that all four members appearing in the content had settled contract status with ADOR.

Does the anniversary video mean NewJeans are coming back as four?
No scheduled comeback was announced in Yonhap’s July 22, 2026 report. The video and photographs featured Haerin, Hyein, Minji and Hanni for the group’s fourth debut anniversary. ADOR said detailed plans for future activities would be announced after talks were complete. Yonhap described a possible return as industry speculation, and explicitly said Minji’s return was not confirmed at the time.
Yonhap described the anniversary material as NewJeans’ first group-based content in one year and four months. The group debuted on July 22, 2022. The timing and four-member appearance make the footage notable, but neither establishes that a four-member lineup is contractually settled or that a release is imminent.

What happened in the NewJeans contract dispute?
The dispute began after the members announced in 2024 that they were terminating their contracts. Yonhap reported that courts later sided with ADOR in an injunction case and in the main contract lawsuit, restricting independent activities. The members did not appeal the contract ruling by the November 2025 deadline, according to Yonhap.
Those contract proceedings should not be conflated with the separate dispute between HYBE and former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin. The cases concern distinct legal issues; the contract ruling does not by itself resolve every dispute involving HYBE, ADOR, Min Hee-jin or the members.

What is the Danielle damages lawsuit?
Yonhap reported on January 12, 2026, that ADOR had filed a damages suit seeking 43.1 billion won from Danielle, a member of her family and former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin. That figure is the amount sought in the lawsuit, not a sum awarded by a court. The cited report does not establish a final judgment.
In a fan livestream titled “Dear Bunnies,” Danielle said, “I fought till the end to be with my fellow members,” Yonhap reported. Her statement describes her position; it does not change the reported contract decision or determine the outcome of the damages case.
