Netflix’s second season premiered March 10, 2026.
What the One Piece season 2 trailer shows
Netflix’s trailer opens with an idea of what it means to be a pirate: someone with adventures and dreams who never gives up. Luffy says the Straw Hats have reached the Grand Line and are closer to their dreams. The optimism is quickly tested by warnings about the dangerous sea and the people they may encounter.
Baroque Works is named as a threat. Usopp calls its members powerful, while Luffy insists the crew can face challenges together. The trailer returns to that bond at the end, framing the journey around meeting people who stay and the value of the journey itself. These details follow Netflix’s official trailer transcript; they describe the trailer’s dialogue rather than every scene in the video.
What song is in the One Piece season 2 trailer?
The extended trailer uses Styx’s “Come Sail Away.” Netflix’s transcript includes the refrain, “Sail away, come sail away,” and TV Insider identifies Styx as the artist. The reporting identifies it as trailer music; it does not establish that the song appears in the season itself.

What is One Piece: Into the Grand Line about?
The season continues the live-action adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s manga, following the Straw Hats as they enter the Grand Line. The trailer’s focus is less on explaining each new stop than on setting up the contrast between the crew’s shared ambition and the dangers, unfamiliar people, and powerful opponents ahead.
Baroque Works and the new dangers
The trailer names Baroque Works and signals that the group’s members will be formidable. TV Insider also reports new season characters including Tony Tony Chopper, voiced by Mikaela Hoover, and several Baroque Works characters. Netflix’s trailer transcript does not provide a full plot outline, so it is best read as a mood-setting introduction rather than a complete account of the season’s story.
A bigger journey, according to the co-showrunner
TV Insider quoted Joe Tracz, co-showrunner, writer, and executive producer, describing the season’s increased scale: “Everything gets bigger. We are going to see giants and dinosaurs. We end up in the belly of a whale. Basically, our mantra for Season 2 is, ‘scale it all up.’”
Tracz also described the winter island of Drum Kingdom in evocative terms: “It’s our medieval Winterfell location, where you have this haunted-seeming castle at the top of a snowy mountain inhabited by someone the villagers say is a witch.” That is Tracz’s comparison, as reproduced by TV Insider, rather than an objective label for the setting.
