Amazon reported 50 million viewers in the first 25 days after its December 19, 2024 premiere; it has not published a definition of “viewers” or a method that independently verifies the count.
What streaming record did MrBeast set?
The claim is limited to Prime Video’s unscripted category. Amazon has not said that Beast Games was the most-watched title across all streaming services or genres, and the reported figure cannot establish such a broader ranking.

Amazon announced the record and audience figure in its May 2025 renewal announcement. Its earlier viewing guide also reported more than 50 million in the same first-25-days window. Neither source explains whether “viewers” means unique people, nor provides an independent audit or comparable figures from other streamers. Amazon’s renewal announcement and viewing guide are the sources for the claim.
What is Beast Games?
It is a reality competition series created and hosted by Donaldson. Its first season brought 1,000 contestants into physical, mental and social challenges. Amazon’s viewing guide described a chance to win $5 million, while its later renewal announcement says the cash prize ultimately grew to $10 million. Those are different descriptions from different points in the show’s rollout, not a single unchanged prize figure.

Amazon announced two additional seasons on May 12, 2025. The renewal announcement quotes Amazon MGM Studios’ head of television Vernon Sanders calling it “the largest reality competition series ever”; that is the studio executive’s characterization, rather than an independently measured comparison.
What is known about season two?
