Their clash over what makes a successful Scarer drives the story.
What is Monsters University about?
Mike has long wanted to become a Scarer, and he arrives at Monsters University determined to earn a place in its elite Scare Program. There he meets Sulley, a naturally gifted monster whose confidence and talent put him at odds with Mike’s careful preparation.
After both are expelled from the program, the rivals have to work together with Oozma Kappa, a group of misfit monsters. The university setting gives their competition a shared goal: Mike and Sulley must learn to cooperate if they are to find a way back into the Scare Program. Pixar’s official film page also introduces the university’s fraternities and the Oozma Kappas’ visit to Monsters, Inc.
The premise turns on a contrast between preparation and natural ability. Mike believes that study and effort can make him a Scarer; Sulley initially leans on talent. Their changing relationship—not simply the contest for a place in the program—is the heart of this college-set story.

Who voices Mike and Sulley?
Billy Crystal voices Mike Wazowski, and John Goodman voices James P. “Sulley” Sullivan in the English-language cast. The cast also includes Steve Buscemi, Helen Mirren, Peter Sohn, and Joel Murray. Disney’s film page lists the cast and film details.

Disney’s film page also documents a Blu-ray edition and mentions bonus material, including a behind-the-scenes look at the monster world and the short The Blue Umbrella. That confirms an edition was offered; it does not establish current retail stock or that every territory’s release includes the same extras.
