When did the affair and disclosure happen?

Baena described Shriver hugging her and crying with her. CBS/AP quoted Baena saying, “She cried with me and told me to get off my knees.” The interview report presents Baena’s recollection; it is not a separate account from Shriver.

When did Joseph learn who his father was?
Baena said Joseph learned that Schwarzenegger was his father about a year before the June 2011 interview. She recalled his response as “Cool!” Her account does not establish the exact date of that conversation.
What did Schwarzenegger say about the affair and its impact?
In an October 2012 ABC News interview about his autobiography, Total Recall: My Unbelievably True Life Story, Schwarzenegger called the affair the worst thing he had done and said it hurt many people. He also said he paid for Joseph’s schooling and helped Baena and her other children financially. Those are Schwarzenegger’s statements in an interview about his own memoir, not independently audited details.
