What Cyrus said about the campaign later
In a Vogue France interview published November 23, 2025, Cyrus said she had not expected Maison Margiela to choose her as the face of its campaign and described herself as the house’s first official face. That is Cyrus’s account of her role, rather than an independently verified claim about the Maison’s full history. In the same interview, she said style need not depend on budget, fashion-industry connections or historical knowledge, and that she prefers being her own reference point.
