What school officials and police said
Education Department response
An Education Department spokeswoman said the incident happened after school hours and away from the school. She said the school had processes and practices to support students in managing behaviour, and encouraged parents to reinforce positive behaviour messages at home. The report does not detail specific school actions concerning the students.
Police-reported investigation and outcomes
A WA Police spokesman said Forrestfield police investigated the alleged assault and interviewed three girls, with responsible adults present. The alleged victim sustained minor injuries. According to the spokesman’s account in the report, one girl received a juvenile caution for common assault and two others were referred to the Juvenile Justice Team for common assault.
