Sonia Cámara del Río, conocida en redes sociales como Mamá de Rizos, murió en junio de 2024 a los 35 años a causa del cáncer que padecía. Enfermera pamplonesa e influencer, compartió parte de su experiencia con la enfermedad; su esposo, Mamadu Nfamara Sambu, anunció su fallecimiento en redes sociales, según la cobertura de la época.
Quién era Sonia Cámara, Mamá de Rizos
Sonia Cámara del Río era una enfermera de Pamplona conocida en redes como @mamaderizos. Diario de Navarra la describió como enfermera e influencer y señaló que tenía 35 años cuando murió. El medio informó de que padecía cáncer desde hacía algo más de año y medio.
Cuándo murió y qué se informó sobre su enfermedad
La cobertura disponible sitúa el diagnóstico a finales de 2022. T13 informó de que Sonia se sometió a una operación y recibió quimioterapia. A finales de mayo de 2024, según ese medio, comunicó que haría una pausa en las quimioterapias para descansar, después de consultarlo con su equipo médico.
El esposo de Sonia anunció su muerte el viernes 21 de junio de 2024, de acuerdo con T13. Diario de Navarra publicó una nota sobre su fallecimiento, actualizada el 25 de junio. Las fuentes citadas informan de cáncer y de un tumor, pero no establecen un diagnóstico clínico más preciso; por ello, no es posible afirmar aquí qué tipo concreto de cáncer tenía.

20minutos reprodujo una frase atribuida a Mamadu Nfamara Sambu en una publicación de Instagram tras la muerte de Sonia: «Lo siento, no tengo palabras, me falta todo». La frase se recoge como una cita publicada por ese medio.

El 18 de junio de 2025, la editorial Esencia publicó Te encontré en Bisáu, firmado por Sonia Cámara y Mamadu Nfamara. La editorial presenta la obra como una novela romántica basada en vivencias e inspirada en la historia de Sonia. Su ficha editorial indica que la edición impresa es de rústica con solapas, tiene 352 páginas y lleva el ISBN 978-84-08-30514-9; los datos pueden variar según la edición o el territorio.
