Miley Cyrus attended the 67th annual GRAMMY Awards with her mother, Tish Cyrus, on February 2, 2025. Although contemporary coverage placed their appearance amid reports of tensions involving Billy Ray Cyrus, their attendance together does not establish the private state of the family’s relationships.

What was reported about family tensions?
Some entertainment coverage framed the appearance against reports of family tensions involving Miley’s father, Billy Ray Cyrus. That is context reported by media outlets, not something the mother-daughter appearance itself confirms. Attending together does not prove a dispute, resolve one, or reveal the family’s private relationships.
What did Miley Cyrus wear and do during the ceremony?
Cyrus arrived in a black leather look, then changed before presenting Record of the Year, according to the Associated Press. The AP also quoted her explaining the gown change: “I’m here for two very important reasons tonight. No. 1, look at this gown. How can I tell my custom Alaïa that she had nowhere to go?”
