What happened at the 2024 polo match?
The event was the Royal Salute Polo Challenge at Grand Champions Polo Club in Wellington, Florida. Williams attended and spent time with Meghan while Harry competed. The match was not the 2018 Audi Polo Challenge in Ascot, another polo event at which Williams and Alexis Ohanian were reported to be present.

According to the Associated Press, Harry’s Royal Salute Sentebale team defeated the team captained by Argentine professional polo player Ignacio “Nacho” Figueras, 3–1. Harry scored the opening goal. The AP reported that Figueras and Harry had worked together on Sentebale since 2007.
Why was the match being filmed?
The AP reported on April 12, 2024, that a camera crew followed Harry, Meghan and Figueras during the Florida event for an upcoming Netflix miniseries focused on polo. The report said Harry and Meghan would be executive producers. That reporting described the project at the time; it does not establish whether or where the series is currently available.

How did the match support Sentebale?
The match benefited Sentebale, a charity founded by Harry in 2006 to support children and young adults in Lesotho and Botswana, as described by the AP.
- Organizers told the AP that about 300 spectators attended the matches.
- Organizers expected the fundraising weekend to raise $1 million for Sentebale. This was an expectation reported in 2024, not a confirmed final total.
- Organizers said celebrity polo matches had raised about $15 million for Sentebale since 2006.
- Sentebale’s annual report showed about $6 million in overall fundraising for its 2022 fiscal year, with roughly half coming from the United States, according to the AP.
What did Figueras say about the polo project?
Figueras told the AP: “We have been working on this for a long time. It was always Harry’s dream and passion to share with the world it takes to be a really competitive polo player at the highest level.”

The 2024 Royal Salute Polo Challenge took place in Wellington, Florida, and featured Harry playing for Sentebale. In 2018, Williams and Ohanian were reported at the Audi Polo Challenge in Ascot, England. These are separate events, years and locations; the 2018 account is covered by Vogue.
