Disney+ is raising some U.S. subscription prices, but not every plan or bundle is reported to cost more. The reported standalone rates rise to $12.49 per month for Disney+ with ads and $21.49 for Premium without ads. Existing subscribers may see a change in a billing cycle on or after October 21, 2026; the date depends on the billing cycle and billing provider.
How much is Disney+ going up?
Reports published September 24, 2026, put the new U.S. standalone prices and selected bundle rates at the following amounts. These are reported prices, not a complete catalog of every package. Check the exact plan and price shown in your Disney account before making a decision.

When does the Disney+ price increase take effect?
For existing affected subscribers in the United States, Disney’s Help Center search result says the new price will appear in a billing cycle on or after October 21, 2026. That is not necessarily the same day for every subscriber: the date depends on the account’s billing cycle. Disney also warns that prices for subscriptions billed through third-party partners may vary. Check Disney’s U.S. plans and prices help page and the bill from the company that charges you.

Is my Disney+ plan going up?
Start with the exact plan name, not just the Disney+ brand. The reports describe increases to standalone plans and some bundles, while other bundles are reported unchanged. Your price can also depend on where and how you subscribed. In Disney account settings, review the current plan, price, and next billing date; if another company bills you, check that provider’s account and invoice as well.
- Standalone: compare whether you have Disney+ with ads or Premium.
- Bundle: check every included service and the precise bundle tier. A freeze on one bundle does not mean all bundles are protected.
- Billing route: confirm whether Disney or a third-party billing partner handles your subscription.
- Location: these reported prices and dates concern the United States, not every country.
Which Disney+ bundles are staying the same?
As of TechRadar’s September 24, 2026 report, three bundles were described as remaining at the same price: Disney+ and Hulu with ads at $12.99 per month; Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN Unlimited with ads at $35.99; and the corresponding ESPN Unlimited Premium bundle without ads at $44.99. Tom’s Guide also reported the Disney+ and Hulu ad-supported bundle as unchanged. These reported freezes apply to those named plans, not to bundles generally.

TechRadar reported that Disney had not announced equivalent changes for UK or European subscribers at that time. That does not establish that prices in those regions will remain unchanged indefinitely. Subscribers outside the U.S. should use their local account details rather than applying U.S. prices or timing.
Why is Disney raising prices?
TechRadar reported that Disney attributed the increase to investment in technology, features, and back-end improvements. That is the company’s stated rationale as relayed by the outlet; it does not establish that those investments alone caused the price changes.

Should you cancel or change your Disney+ plan?
Compare what you pay with what the plan includes before switching. A lower monthly figure may come with ads or fewer included services; a bundle can be worthwhile only if you use its other services. Also compare the effective date and billing channel, since the price shown to you may differ from a reported direct-billed rate.
- Open your Disney account at DisneyPlus.com and review the plan, current charge, and next billing date.
- Compare the plan’s included services and ad experience with the alternatives available to your account.
- Use the current account flow to review plan changes or cancellation options. Disney’s help information says a changed plan is billed at the then-applicable price.
- If you pay through a third party, confirm available changes, cancellation terms, and price with that billing provider.
Disney’s plan-management help result says directly billed annual subscribers may be able to change to a bundle and receive a prorated credit. Eligibility and terms can vary, so confirm the offer in the account flow before changing plans. Do not assume that cancelling will prevent the next charge without checking your billing route and the effective date.
