Michelle Obama’s Christmas 2025 outfit was described in news coverage as a sheer black lace gown with a deep V neckline. The reports concern a holiday greeting photo shared with Barack Obama on December 25—not a separate public appearance. They do not identify the designer or exact dress.
What did Michelle Obama wear for Christmas 2025?
In its December 26 fashion coverage, Hindustan Times describes Obama’s look as a sheer black lace gown with a deep V neckline and statement earrings. AOL additionally describes gold detailing and a long-sleeved black turtleneck shrug worn over the dress. These are the publications’ descriptions; neither report provides a designer credit or verified product identification.
The image was a Christmas greeting featuring Michelle and Barack Obama, shared on December 25, 2025, according to AOL. Hindustan Times linked to Michelle Obama’s Instagram post. The publication describes Barack Obama wearing a tan bomber-style jacket over a black turtleneck.
What did the Obamas say in their Christmas greetings?
Hindustan Times reproduces Michelle Obama’s caption: “Merry Christmas! Barack and I send you our heartfelt wishes for a blessed holiday and joyful start to the new year.” AOL reports that Barack Obama shared the same photo on X with the message: “Merry Christmas! Michelle and I hope you have a wonderful holiday filled with light and joy.”

Where can you find a black lace dress like Michelle Obama’s?
The exact dress has not been identified in the reports, so there is no verified designer, model, or product listing to point to. If you want a similar look, search for a black lace evening dress with a deep V neckline, treating it as an inspired-by category rather than the original garment.
- Neckline: Choose how deep a V you are comfortable wearing; reported descriptions do not establish the dress’s exact cut.
- Lace and lining: Check how much of the garment is sheer and where the lining sits. The reporting does not specify construction or coverage.
- Layering: If you want the covered-up contrast seen in AOL’s description, look for a separate black shrug or overlay; the source does not establish whether it was part of a set.
- Occasion and fit: Compare formality, sleeve options, and fit against how and where you plan to wear it.
What is known—and not known—about the look
The available coverage identifies the occasion and offers visual descriptions, but it does not establish the dress’s brand or exact product. AOL also reports that, during a December 15, 2025 appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Michelle Obama said the couple send over 100,000 Christmas cards, counting friends, family, business contacts, and foundation contacts. That figure is attributed to her reported remark and is not an independently audited total.
