What was the entourage story?
McCain said Lopez arrived with a large entourage and recalled a staff member holding a lighted mirror while Lopez was being touched up backstage. The account describes what McCain said she saw; it is not independently verified backstage reporting. Entertainment Tonight also noted that McCain had previously discussed Lopez in a viral TikTok, calling her not a favorite guest.
Was there a different account of Lopez?
Yes. Podcast guest Carlos King offered a contrasting recollection, saying Lopez had been charming when he met her and that she did not have a large entourage on that occasion, according to Us Weekly. King was describing a separate encounter, so his account does not establish what happened during McCain’s experience on The View.

What was the TikTok takedown allegation?
McCain and co-host Miranda Wilkins alleged that Lopez or her legal team had a Citizen McCain TikTok removed. McCain reportedly framed the claim as an allegation. TV Insider reported that TikTok reports are anonymous, so the uploaders could not know for certain who submitted one; the video was reinstated after an appeal. The reporting therefore does not confirm that Lopez or her representatives caused the takedown.
