The card reported publicly was an emailed greeting for professional use—not the couple’s private family card.
What appeared in the Sussexes’ 2024 holiday card?
The card contained six images, including the family photograph. Archie and Lilibet were running toward Harry and Meghan, who had their arms open to greet them. Their faces were not visible. ITV also reported that the couple’s three dogs appeared in the image. The card’s other pictures reflected the Sussexes’ work and travels during 2024, including visits to Nigeria and Colombia.
ITV reproduced the card’s written greeting: “On behalf of the office of Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Archewell Productions and Archewell Foundation, we wish you a very happy holiday season and a joyful New Year.” This was the official message printed on the card, not a remark attributed to either Harry or Meghan. ITV’s December 16, 2024 report shows the card and quotes its message.
Was the card private?
Not in the sense suggested by “private Christmas card.” Contemporary reports described this six-image card as sent by email for professional use. ITV and Sky News reported that Harry and Meghan sent a separate card to close family and friends, which would remain private. The publicly reported professional card and the private family-and-friends card were distinct. Sky News’s coverage likewise distinguishes the emailed card from the one intended for close family and friends.

Is this the same photo Meghan shared in 2025?
No. Meghan shared a different family holiday photo on Instagram on December 19, 2025, more than a year after the 2024 card was released. That later image is separate from the outdoor picture of Archie and Lilibet on the six-image 2024 card. ITV reported on the 2025 post.
