Marvel’s March 26, 2025 reveal named 26 performers for Avengers: Doomsday, with Robert Downey Jr. included as a previously announced cast member, for 27 named performers in all. The group brings together MCU regulars, the Fantastic Four and actors associated with Fox’s X-Men films. It was a major cast announcement—not a confirmed complete roster.
Who is in the Avengers: Doomsday cast?
Marvel Studios announced that production had begun and unveiled the cast during a multi-hour global livestream on March 26, 2025. These are the 26 performers named in that reveal, followed by Robert Downey Jr., whom Disney identifies as previously announced.
- Chris Hemsworth
- Vanessa Kirby
- Anthony Mackie
- Sebastian Stan
- Letitia Wright
- Paul Rudd
- Wyatt Russell
- Tenoch Huerta Mejía
- Ebon Moss-Bachrach
- Simu Liu
- Florence Pugh
- Kelsey Grammer
- Lewis Pullman
- Danny Ramirez
- Joseph Quinn
- David Harbour
- Winston Duke
- Hannah John-Kamen
- Tom Hiddleston
- Patrick Stewart
- Ian McKellen
- Alan Cumming
- Rebecca Romijn
- James Marsden
- Channing Tatum
- Pedro Pascal
- Robert Downey Jr. (announced earlier)
Disney’s current film page identifies Downey’s new role as Victor von Doom/Doctor Doom. That is distinct from his earlier MCU role as Tony Stark, also known as Iron Man.
Why did the cast reveal feel so large?
The names connect several different corners of Marvel’s screen history, rather than just assembling familiar Avengers. Disney+’s cast and characters guide provides additional character details and places performers within the film’s franchise groupings.

- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
- Avengers and MCU regulars: The list includes performers associated with the Avengers and other established MCU stories.
- The Fantastic Four: The announced group includes actors connected to Marvel’s First Family, bringing that team into the ensemble.
- Fox-era X-Men: Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn, James Marsden and Channing Tatum are actors associated with earlier X-Men films.
- Wakanda and Talokan: The ensemble also draws in characters and performers connected to those MCU worlds.
- The Thunderbolts ensemble: Several performers link the film to that group of MCU characters as well.
That breadth helps explain the scale of the announcement: it signaled a crossover among multiple Marvel screen lineages, not simply a roll call of one superhero team.
Is that the full Avengers: Doomsday cast?
No. The March 2025 announcement established a substantial named group, but Disney’s recap teased, “There’s always room for more…” and left open whether the list was complete. Disney+’s current guide says some cast and characters remain a mystery.

In September 2026, co-director Anthony Russo put the distinction plainly: “The cast is so large, and we’ve announced some of the cast, and we haven’t announced some of the cast.” GamesRadar+ reported the remark after a Q&A and noted that the filmmakers were still finishing the movie. The accurate description is therefore the cast announced so far; unannounced names should not be treated as confirmed.
How big was the announcement?
The Walt Disney Company reported that the livestream announcement received 275 million digital views and 3.1 million social interactions across platforms. Those are company-reported figures for the announcement, not a measure of the film’s eventual audience. Disney’s recap also reproduced Marvel’s teaser line, “There’s always room for more…”
