Amazon MGM Studios’ first-look image of Nicholas Galitzine as He-Man shows the Sword of Power and part of his costume, but it is not a full-body reveal. The image was reported on February 24, 2025. The film’s announced U.S. theatrical date, June 5, 2026, has passed; Amazon now lists the movie as available to stream on Prime Video globally.
What Amazon’s first-look image shows
The still depicts Galitzine as He-Man holding the Sword of Power. CBR described it as a close-up of his hands and upper body, so it offers a glimpse of the costume rather than a complete view of the character’s look.
CBR reproduced a caption from Amazon MGM Studios’ official X account: “Eternia is in good hands. Here’s your first look at Nicholas Galitzine as He-Man with the Sword of Power in the upcoming film.” The caption is from the studio, not a quote attributed to a named individual.
Who is making the live-action film?
Mattel’s announcement identifies the feature as a Mattel Studios and Amazon MGM Studios production directed by Travis Knight, with Nicholas Galitzine playing He-Man. The announcement gave June 5, 2026, as the U.S. theatrical release date.
