In Episode 24 of Married at First Sight Australia’s 2024 season, Eden and Jayden tell Tim that Sara met up with her ex. Sara acknowledges the meeting but says it was not a date and denies cheating on Tim. He says he feels lied to; the episode leaves the disputed cheating allegation unresolved.
What happened at the Episode 24 dinner party?
After the couples return from the Byron Bay retreat, the dinner party begins with a separate confrontation: Jack apologizes to Tristan and Timothy for calling Tristan a “whale” in an earlier poolside comment. PerthNow’s 6 March 2024 recap reports that Jack gives Tristan a supplement-store gift card and a keychain engraved “You are enough.” Tristan is more receptive to the apology than Timothy.
Sara and Tim arrive together, and Sara tells the group their relationship has made a comeback. Eden believes Tim should know that Sara met her ex. Eden and Jayden take the couple aside and give Sara a chance to explain before they tell Tim what they know.
What did Sara say about meeting her ex?
Sara first describes the encounter as running into her ex, then acknowledges that she met up with him. As PerthNow’s recap reproduces her explanation: “OK, I met up with my ex – but it wasn’t a date!” Jayden says messages indicated Sara wanted to look good for the ex; that characterization is Jayden’s account as reported in the recap.

The recaps also report that Sara had told Tim she was puppy-sitting when she was actually meeting her ex. Sara says she kept the meeting from Tim because she did not want to make him insecure. PerthNow and Mamamia’s episode recaps further report that Sara had slept with the ex a month before the experiment, when he had a girlfriend. Those are claims reported in accounts of the episode, not independently verified findings.
Did Sara cheat on Tim?
The episode does not establish that Sara cheated on Tim during the meeting. Sara says, “I didn’t cheat on Tim, and I didn’t do anything with my ex.” Tim, upset by the concealment and what he believes he has been told, says he feels lied to and strung along. The distinction matters: the episode presents a concealed meeting and a reported pre-experiment sexual history, while the allegation that Sara cheated on Tim remains disputed.

After Tim leaves the conversation, Sara challenges the group about their own fidelity and storms out, demanding to go home. The dinner party’s central conflict is therefore not a confirmed finding of infidelity, but the collision between Sara’s denial, Tim’s sense of betrayal, and Eden and Jayden’s belief that he needed to hear about the meeting.
