Martha Stewart spent her 83rd birthday, August 3, 2024, watching Olympic dressage with Snoop Dogg at Versailles. The outing was part of their Paris Games coverage as well as the birthday celebration Stewart had described beforehand as a gift to herself.
Why Stewart went to Paris with Snoop Dogg
In a June 27, 2024, interview with Extra, Stewart said she had a “very fun birthday coming up” and explained: “I’m going to Paris to do some commentating on the Olympics with Snoop Dogg. So that’s my birthday present to myself this year.” It was an advance announcement of her plans, not a description of what she did on the day.
How they celebrated on August 3
On her actual birthday, Stewart and Snoop attended the Dressage Team Grand Prix Special at the Paris 2024 Olympics in Versailles. Access Hollywood described their coordinated look: riding helmets, black tailcoats, white breeches and sunglasses. The occasion was an Olympic event, rather than a private Paris birthday party.
Their coverage also brought them close to the horses. Stewart said Snoop had called her because he knew she loved horses. In an NBC segment, the two fed carrots to horses and learned about dressage; Stewart helped Snoop, who said he was still afraid of horses. NBC reported on the segment.

The Cookie Monster cake came the day before
A separate birthday-week moment happened on August 2, the day before Stewart’s birthday. During an Access Hollywood interview, Cookie Monster surprised her with a cone-shaped cake made of macarons. It was a playful pre-birthday treat, distinct from the August 3 dressage outing.
The Olympic work behind the birthday outing
The Paris trip combined Stewart and Snoop’s Olympic commentary work with their friendship and shared appearance at the dressage event. In an Associated Press report published August 6, 2024, Stewart praised Snoop’s contribution: “I think he’s done an amazing job for the Olympics.” Snoop described their segments as comfortable and natural: “It’s not like an act. The bits that we do. They’re comfortable. They’re not stretched or forced. It’s me being me.” The report was republished by Arab Times.
