Mariah Carey’s The Celebration of Mimi Live in Las Vegas was an album-anniversary engagement at Dolby Live at Park MGM, built around The Emancipation of Mimi and songs from across her career. The available reporting offers a little context about Carey reflecting on the album era, but it does not document detailed backstage production or rehearsal practices.
What was The Celebration of Mimi Las Vegas show?
Carey announced the engagement on February 6, 2024, as a celebration of the anniversary of The Emancipation of Mimi. The announcement said the show would feature favorites from that album alongside hits from her wider career. It was therefore an album-centered concert with a broader career-spanning scope, rather than a show devoted only to one record. Mariah Carey’s announcement named the engagement The Celebration of Mimi Live in Las Vegas.
When and where did it take place?
The engagement was held at Dolby Live at Park MGM in Las Vegas. Carey’s announcement listed an initial run from April 12 through April 27, 2024. On July 22, 2024, MGM Resorts announced eight additional dates for 2025. The sources establish those past runs; they do not establish a current ticket offer or a future revival. MGM Resorts’ announcement documented the extension.
What is known about the show’s behind-the-scenes story?
A secondary page from The Mariah Network, summarizing or reproducing Rolling Stone’s April 13, 2024 coverage, says Carey discussed the period around the album in an interview conducted between wardrobe fittings. The page also says the engagement’s creative and musical directors shared details about the eight-show stint. That gives the show a personal and historical frame: it revisited the era surrounding the album and Carey’s life and work at the time.

The available account does not establish how the show was rehearsed, how its sets were built, what stage technology it used, how costumes were designed, or how the production was staffed. It is not enough to present those mechanics as reported facts or to imply access to the backstage process. The Mariah Network’s page is secondary coverage, not a detailed account of the production.
What songs were performed?
A user-uploaded opening-night recording description lists a four-act sequence and an encore. In the later act it names “It’s Like That,” “Shake It Off,” “Circles,” “Don’t Forget About Us,” and “We Belong Together”; it lists “Fly Like a Bird” as the encore and includes songs from other Carey eras. This is an opening-night account from the uploader, not an official set list, and it does not show that every date had the same running order. The uploaded recording and description are the basis for those song details.
