The listed total visit duration is longer than the time actually spent wearing the costume. Older 2025 coverage describing a ¥49,000, three-hour experience does not match the operator’s later displayed terms.

The operator’s animal list shows an Alaskan Malamute costume. That is separate from the bespoke Rough Collie suit made for Toco, the Japanese man whose costume inspired widespread coverage. Who can fit the costume?
The reservation page gives a usual height range of 150 cm to under 180 cm and a thigh measurement of 63 cm or less. The operator cautions that people with limited flexibility may find the experience difficult. These are the operator’s stated fit guidelines, not a guarantee that every person within the measurements will find the suit comfortable. Check the current booking information before reserving. What did Toco’s dog suit cost?
A 2024 interview with WanQol, published by Cainz Magazine, reported that Toco’s custom Rough Collie costume cost about ¥2 million. The £11,000 figure in the headline is a media currency conversion; the interview’s reported yen figure is the direct amount. Read the WanQol interview.
That purchase and the Tocotoco Zoo plans are not like-for-like costs. Toco’s figure is the reported price of a bespoke personal suit; the zoo’s displayed prices are for a time-limited customer experience using the operator’s costume. The operator’s current page allots 25 minutes in costume on the short plan and 50 minutes on the standard plan.
