Kylie Minogue’s Tension Tour began at Perth’s RAC Arena on 15 February 2025. Frontier Touring announced the Perth opening date in September 2024; the promoter later reported that the show launched the global tour before a sellout crowd of 13,500.
What the 2024 announcement said
On 19 September 2024, promoter Frontier Touring announced the Tension Tour for 2025, naming Saturday 15 February at RAC Arena in Perth as the Australian opening show. The initial Australian itinerary also included Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney, with more dates and countries still to be announced. Frontier Touring’s announcement framed the concerts around the Tension era and Minogue’s wider catalogue.

Minogue said: “I am beyond excited to announce the TENSION TOUR 2025. I can’t wait to share beautiful and wild moments with fans all over the world, celebrating the Tension era and more! It’s been an exhilarating ride so far and now, get ready for your close up because I will be calling Lights, Camera, Action … and there will be a whole lot of Padaming!”
How the Australian tour expanded
After the first announcement, Frontier Touring added performances in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney. Its later update described the Australian leg as ten shows across Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney. The added dates expanded the original itinerary; they did not change the announced Perth opening. The promoter’s tour update also connected the concerts with Minogue’s Tension II release.

Perth hosted the tour’s global debut
The opening show went ahead at RAC Arena on 15 February 2025. In a post-show report the following day, Frontier Touring called it the global tour debut and reported a sellout crowd of 13,500. That attendance figure is the promoter’s reported result for the Perth concert. Frontier Touring’s 16 February report confirmed the show had taken place.
RAC Arena had been booked months ahead for production rehearsals before the concert. On 9 February 2025, the venue’s general manager, Michael Scott, called hosting the opening “a huge moment” for Perth: “We’re excited that international superstar and homegrown icon, Kylie, will be here to share the opening night of her world tour!” RAC Arena’s statement shared the venue’s preparations and his remarks.

Tension II was part of the tour announcement
The 2024 announcement also promoted Tension II, describing it as a new collection of 13 songs and identifying vinyl and CD formats available to preorder at the time. The album provides the clearest connection between the tour announcement and its contemporary release campaign; current retailer stock, editions and prices are not established here. Frontier Touring’s announcement named the physical formats.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Ticket information is historical
The 2025 Perth concert and the rest of the Australian leg have concluded, so the original ticket guidance is no longer a route to tickets for upcoming shows. At the time, Frontier Touring’s FAQ named Ticketek as the authorised Australian seller and warned against unauthorised sellers. That advice applied to the historical tour dates, not to a current ticket offer. The tour FAQ records that original guidance.
