Como Gira Mundo encerra a trilogia de Majur?
Em entrevista à Billboard Brasil, publicada em 11 de agosto de 2026, Majur relaciona os três discos a dimensões da experiência: Ojunifé representa o corpo, Arrisca, a alma, e Gira Mundo, o espírito. A cantora situa o novo álbum depois de um processo de reconexão consigo mesma e com sua fé.
Essa leitura é da própria Majur, não uma classificação externa dos discos. Ela descreve a trilogia como parte de um percurso de autoconhecimento e aproxima a criação de Gira Mundo de sua trajetória religiosa. Sobre a decisão de não escrever o álbum com suas próprias palavras, afirmou: “Eu não escreveria esse álbum com as minhas palavras. Eu queria trazer a essência do orixá, algo que só está lá dentro. Pedi permissão, e foi concedida.”
O que Majur quer contar com o álbum?
Majur apresenta o projeto como uma forma de recontar a história e levar informação ao público diante do apagamento e do preconceito que associa à cultura afro-brasileira. Em entrevista de anúncio à Billboard Brasil, descreveu a intenção assim: “Apesar de evidenciar a intolerância religiosa e o racismo no Brasil, esse álbum não é sobre religião. É sobre recontar a nossa história nos tempos de hoje. É sobre transformação e conexão, informação para o povo, sem mais”.

A frase não apaga a relação do álbum com a fé da cantora: ela mesma a apresenta como parte de sua vida e de seu processo criativo. O propósito cultural e político é igualmente atribuído a Majur; não é necessário tratar o candomblé como curiosidade ou reduzir o disco a uma explicação religiosa.
Na nota de lançamento publicada em 4 de junho de 2025, a Universal Music Brasil situa a inspiração do trabalho no encontro simbólico entre a resistência à escravidão e o reconhecimento da cultura africana no Brasil. Essa é a moldura apresentada pela gravadora.

Como as cantigas ganham novas leituras?
Majur canta as 16 faixas sem participações, segundo entrevista ao POPLine publicada em 12 de maio de 2025. O álbum não deve ser entendido como composto integralmente por canções inéditas na tradição: em entrevista ao iG Queer, publicada em 1º de junho de 2025, a cantora explicou que trabalhou com cantigas existentes, reorganizando trechos e criando arranjos e leituras novas.
“Não é um trabalho novo no sentido de inédito, porque essas cantigas já existem. Mas eu recriei, juntei pedaços, trouxe novas leituras. É uma obra sobre maturidade”, disse Majur ao iG Queer. A distinção ajuda a compreender a proposta: a novidade está também na maneira como ela reuniu e interpretou esse material.

A gravadora descreve a sonoridade como afropop contemporâneo, com direção musical de Ícaro Sá e Ícaro Santiago, combinando piano, baixo acústico e clarins com atabaques. Essa caracterização é a apresentação da gravadora, não uma avaliação crítica independente.
O anúncio da Billboard Brasil, em maio de 2025, previa a chegada às plataformas em 14 de maio. A nota posterior da Universal confirma a publicação em 4 de junho de 2025; portanto, essa é a data a usar ao informar quando o álbum foi lançado.
