KONOSUBA – God’s Blessing on this Wonderful World! Love For These Clothes Of Desire! is worth considering if you enjoy the anime’s chaotic cast, visual-novel storytelling and suggestive costume comedy. It is not a conventional action RPG: its play centers on reading, building relationships, assigning weekly activities, gathering resources and crafting outfits. The available reviews are few, and one specifically flags translation issues, so the game is a better fit for fans willing to accept some localization roughness than for players seeking polished, action-heavy gameplay.
What kind of game is it?
Developed by MAGES. Inc. and published by PQube, Love For These Clothes Of Desire! begins when Kazuma and his party discover a mysterious Black Slab. Its curse pushes each character toward desires that run contrary to their usual personalities. To break it, the group gathers ingredients and makes outfits suited to those new personas.
The result is a comedy visual novel with a light planning and crafting layer. Steam describes opportunities to build affection with up to seven heroines, alongside a weekly character planner: assign activities according to party members’ strengths to earn funds and collect outfit resources. Expect story and character scenes punctuated by management choices, not a combat-focused RPG loop. Steam’s game description and Nintendo’s US listing outline that structure.
Who is likely to enjoy it?
Fans of the cast and humor
The central appeal is seeing familiar characters react to a curse that flips their usual desires, with the story leaning on their relationships and comic dysfunction. That makes familiarity with KonoSuba a meaningful advantage; the premise and character humor do much of the work.

- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Reviews listed by Metacritic are positive about those strengths, though the sample is small. Noisy Pixel’s February 5, 2024 excerpt calls it a visual novel that captures the series’ spirit, while Tech-Gaming’s February 13, 2024 excerpt praises its dysfunctional cast and voice performances. These are individual reviews, not evidence of a broad critical consensus.
Players interested in outfits and fan-service comedy
Costumes are central to both the plot and the crafting loop, and the comedy includes suggestive outfit humor and characters acting against type. Nintendo US assigns the Switch listing the ESRB descriptors “Language, Suggestive Themes.” A review excerpt also describes the experience as a light-hearted romp while warning readers to expect “kinky stuff”; that is a reviewer’s content guidance, not an official rating. If suggestive fan-service is a drawback for you, factor it into the decision.

Players who want substantial gameplay
The weekly planner, resource gathering and outfit creation provide decisions beyond simply advancing dialogue, but the game’s foundation remains a visual novel. If your priority is action combat or a deep management simulation, the described structure does not promise either. Its planning layer is most relevant if you enjoy small optimization tasks in service of character scenes and costume collection.
What do reviews say about the writing and localization?
Metacritic’s page, accessed October 8, 2026, displayed three critic reviews and no Metascore because it said four reviews were required. Its excerpts praise the series humor, writing, voice acting and character relationships, while GameGrin’s March 19, 2024 excerpt specifically notes translation issues alongside the game’s charm. That makes localization a real consideration, but the small set of reviews does not establish how extensive or consistent the issues are.

Steam displayed “Very Positive,” with 88% positive among 207 user reviews when accessed in 2026. Metacritic showed an 8.2 user score from nine ratings at the same access date. Both counts are platform snapshots that can change; the Metacritic user sample is especially small. They can indicate that some players respond well to the game, but neither figure settles whether its translation will bother you.
Platforms, release dates and editions
| Platform or listing | What the available listing establishes |
|---|---|
| PC / Steam | Steam lists a February 7, 2024 release, single-player play, English interface and subtitles, and Japanese full audio. It does not advertise English full audio. Steam listing |
| Nintendo Switch, US | Nintendo’s US page lists February 8, 2024 and a digital edition. It gives a 3.2 GB download size, one-player support, TV, tabletop and handheld modes, and American English. Nintendo says Switch 2 compatibility is supported and behavior is consistent with Nintendo Switch; that is Nintendo’s compatibility information, not an independent performance test. Nintendo US listing |
| Nintendo Switch, UK | Nintendo UK displays the date as 08/02/2024, meaning August 2, 2024 in the UK date format. Its listing offers a Game Card edition as well as a download, lists English, PEGI 12 and a 3.2 GB download size. The page confirms the physical format exists in that regional catalog; it does not establish current stock elsewhere. Nintendo UK listing |
| PlayStation 4 | Metacritic lists a PS4 version, but the storefront evidence summarized here does not establish its regional availability, edition details, language configuration or price. Metacritic listing |
The PC and Nintendo dates differ by a day, and the Nintendo UK page shows a later regional date. Treat them as platform- and region-specific listing dates rather than trying to reconcile them into one universal launch date.

Is there an English dub?
Steam lists English interface and subtitles with Japanese full audio, but does not advertise English full audio. Based on that listing, do not buy expecting an English dub. The Nintendo pages cited above list English as a supported language but do not specify an English voice track.
Can you buy a physical Switch copy?
Yes: Nintendo UK’s official catalog lists a Switch Game Card edition. Nintendo US lists the digital Switch edition, so physical-format availability is region-specific in the listings cited here. Check your local catalog and current retailer stock before ordering; the UK listing alone does not confirm availability or price in another country.

Which version should you choose?
- Choose Steam if you want the PC edition and value its explicitly listed language and audio configuration. The review snapshot is positive, but dynamic ratings should not substitute for your tolerance of visual-novel pacing or the reported translation concern.
- Choose Switch digital if you prefer Nintendo’s portable, tabletop or TV modes, or if you are shopping through the US digital listing. Nintendo’s stated Switch 2 compatibility is not a claim of improved behavior or performance.
- Look for the Switch Game Card if you specifically want a physical copy; the official listing cited here is Nintendo UK’s, so confirm local availability.
- Consider PS4 only after checking locally: Metacritic lists the platform, but the cited evidence does not establish the practical purchase details for a particular region.
No direct performance or control comparison between platforms is established by the available listings and review excerpts. Choose based on access, format and preferred way to play rather than assuming one edition performs better.
