Kelly Clarkson postponed the first two performances of her Las Vegas residency on July 4, 2025—the day the show was due to open—because preparation and rehearsals had taken a toll on her voice. She said she needed to rest to avoid serious damage. The affected shows were scheduled for July 4 and 5 at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace.
Why did Kelly Clarkson postpone the shows?
In a statement shared on Instagram and reproduced by Variety, Clarkson said the preparation and rehearsals had taken a toll on her voice. She wrote: “The prep and rehearsals have taken a toll on my voice. I want the shows to be perfect for y’all and I need to protect myself from doing serious damage so I am taking this weekend and next week to rest up so that we can deliver what you all deserve.”
