Their records come from different promotions, and the available official profiles document accomplishments without settling who is better at match quality, character work, drawing power, or influence. The fairest answer depends on what “best” means: Omega has a documented range of AEW singles, tag-team, and trios achievements; Reigns’ WWE profile emphasizes his championship honors and Royal Rumble victories.
What does “best” mean in this comparison?
Omega and Reigns have built their careers in different promotional systems. A useful comparison separates four questions: what each has won, how broad their in-ring style is, how compelling their character and stories are, and how consistently prominent they have been. The official records cited here establish some championship facts, but they do not score the other categories or provide a shared accounting system for comparing total title counts.
- Accomplishments: Compare each wrestler’s honors within the promotion that awarded them, rather than treating raw totals from different companies as directly equivalent.
- In-ring range: Consider the kinds of matches and styles each can deliver. The official profiles cited here do not provide a neutral evaluation of match quality.
- Character and storytelling: These are judgments about performance and audience response, not conclusions proven by a list of titles.
- Prominence: A career-wide verdict would require comparable evidence about sustained visibility and audience impact, which these official profiles do not supply.
What Kenny Omega’s AEW record establishes
AEW’s official biography describes Omega as the promotion’s first Triple Crown champion, crediting him with championships in its world singles, tag-team, and trios divisions. After his AEW International title win in March 2025, AEW also described him as a Grand Slam champion. Those distinctions show breadth across AEW divisions; they do not by themselves prove he is superior to a wrestler whose honors were earned in WWE.
His first AEW World Championship reign
AEW’s official title history dates Omega’s first AEW World Championship reign from December 2, 2020, to November 13, 2021. AEW describes its 346 days as the second-longest reign in the title’s history. The same history lists a second reign from July 8 to August 30, 2026. These dates are AEW’s record for its own championship, not a common measure against WWE title reigns.

Career interruption and return
AEW’s biography says diverticulitis sidelined Omega for more than 400 days and that he returned in January 2025. That is useful context for understanding the shape of his recent career, but it is not a basis for guessing at his current health or predicting future activity.
What Roman Reigns’ WWE record establishes
WWE’s official Roman Reigns profile lists four WWE Championship wins, two Universal Championship wins, a World Heavyweight Championship, and Royal Rumble victories in 2015 and 2026. These are WWE’s listed career highlights, not a complete title ledger across every promotion or a directly comparable tally of all of Omega’s honors.

- WWE Elite Collection action figures bring WWE Superstars to life in 6-inch scale!
- Each figure features highly detailed TrueFX technology for life-like facial features!
- Recreate signature moves and dynamic poses with 25 points of articulation!
- Includes interchangeable hands and iconic accessories for play and display!
- WWE fans can find a favorite Superstar figure or can collect them all (each sold separately, subject to availability).
The record makes a strong case for Reigns’ standing within WWE’s championship history. But the cited profile does not provide a comparable official reign-duration figure to set beside Omega’s 346-day AEW World Championship reign, and the two promotions’ title records should not be treated as if they were compiled under identical rules.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. So who is better?
If “best” means documented range of championship success across AEW’s singles, tag-team, and trios divisions, Omega has a clear case. If it means the WWE honors highlighted in the company’s official profile, Reigns has a clear case. Those are defensible answers to different questions, not proof of one universal winner.

For a personal verdict, choose the standard first. A viewer who values variety across match types and promotions may favor Omega; one who values Reigns’ WWE championship accomplishments may favor Reigns. The available official records cannot determine who is better at match quality, character work, audience appeal, or career influence. Any single pick on those grounds is a subjective judgment, not a fact established by these profiles.
