If you want more gods, monsters and mythic stakes after KAOS, start with Blood of Zeus for Greek-god conflict, Ragnarok for Norse mythology in a modern Norwegian town, or Percy Jackson and the Olympians for a younger Greek-myth quest. Each offers a different answer to the question of what to watch next after KAOS: animated epic, coming-of-age drama or family-friendly adventure.
What makes a show feel like KAOS?
Netflix frames KAOS as a contemporary, darkly comic reimagining of Greek mythology, with Zeus at its center. Its eight episodes mix British drama, comedy, fantasy, dark comedy and myths and legends. Creator and writer Charlie Covell described it as a “mash-up” built around timeless subjects including love, power, death and dysfunctional families. (Netflix Tudum; Netflix)
The recommendations below share mythology and divine conflict, but none is simply another version of KAOS. Choose based on whether you want to stay with Greek gods, switch to Norse mythology, or trade satire for a more conventional heroic quest.
1. Blood of Zeus: more Greek gods, as animated heroic fantasy
Blood of Zeus is the closest pick if what you want is another story of Greek gods at war. TV Insider describes its animated tale as following Zeus’s illegitimate son, who must save heaven and earth while facing a vengeful goddess and monstrous forces. Expect mythic stakes and divine conflict rather than KAOS’s live-action dark comedy. (TV Insider)

Its story links the town’s warming winters and violent downpours to the threat of another Ragnarok. Like KAOS, it brings ancient divine conflict into a contemporary setting; unlike it, the mythology is Norse and the storytelling is centered on a coming-of-age drama. (Netflix)
