Jorge Ramos volvió a las noticias en junio de 2025, meses después de dejar Univision, pero no regresó a una cadena de televisión: reanudó el reporteo con Así veo las cosas, un proyecto digital de noticias, análisis y entrevistas. La iniciativa se amplió en 2026 con Tu voz, tu voto, una serie electoral junto a María Elena Salinas anunciada para octubre y noviembre.
Qué anunció Jorge Ramos y cuándo
Ramos terminó su etapa en Univision en diciembre de 2024, después de casi cuatro décadas en la cadena. El 8 de junio de 2025 anunció en redes que volvía a las noticias; People en Español publicó la noticia al día siguiente. “Pues sí, ya regresé”, dijo al describir su retorno.
No se trató de volver a un noticiero de una cadena ni de salir de una jubilación: Ramos retomó el reporteo fuera de Univision mediante un proyecto digital propio. En una entrevista con La W, emitida el 18 de junio de 2025, lo explicó así: “Lo que pasa es que los periodistas no nos retiramos.”
Qué es Así veo las cosas
Así veo las cosas es el proyecto digital de Ramos dedicado a noticias, análisis y entrevistas. People en Español informó que comenzó el 23 de junio de 2025 y que estaría disponible en YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, X, Substack y otras plataformas. Esa lista refleja el anuncio de lanzamiento; no confirma que cada plataforma siga activa hoy.

Ramos dijo que el canal le permitiría estar donde está la noticia. La primera cobertura que destacó fue su viaje a Los Ángeles para escuchar a inmigrantes y conocer lo que vivían y sentían ante las noticias y las protestas del momento. Esa fue la motivación que él expresó, no una evaluación independiente de los hechos políticos.
Cómo cambia el formato respecto a la televisión
La diferencia principal es la distribución: el noticiero televisivo se emitía dentro de la programación de una cadena, mientras que Así veo las cosas se publica en plataformas digitales. Ramos también señaló que el formato le permite conversaciones más largas: “Ahora, puedo extender la entrevista el tiempo que sea necesario.” Es su descripción de la flexibilidad del proyecto, no una comparación técnica independiente entre programas.

Ramos ha presentado la iniciativa como periodismo independiente y ha dicho que su equipo decide qué publicar. En una entrevista publicada por el blog oficial de YouTube el 23 de abril de 2026, afirmó: “Estamos viendo un cambio donde la credibilidad está migrando de las marcas tradicionales a los periodistas individuales.” Esa es su interpretación del panorama mediático; la independencia editorial, por sí sola, no garantiza ausencia de sesgos ni reemplaza la verificación periodística. También ha descrito el uso de comentarios de la audiencia como parte de la interacción con el programa.
La actualización de 2026: Tu voz, tu voto
El 30 de septiembre de 2026, People en Español informó que Ramos y María Elena Salinas trabajarían juntos en Tu voz, tu voto, una serie sobre las elecciones de medio término. El anuncio fijó el comienzo de los programas semanales para el 6 de octubre y anticipó una cobertura en vivo de ocho horas la noche electoral del 3 de noviembre. Entre los temas previstos están el costo de vida, la inmigración y la política; son detalles anunciados, no una afirmación de que esas emisiones ya se hayan realizado o completado.

Salinas resumió el propósito declarado del proyecto: “Nuestra meta es proveer la información que necesitan para ejercer su derecho al voto.”
Qué se sabe —y qué no— sobre su alcance
En la entrevista publicada por YouTube el 23 de abril de 2026, Ramos declaró que el canal obtuvo más de 28 millones de vistas en YouTube durante marzo de 2026 y más de 100 millones de vistas sumando plataformas. Son cifras comunicadas por Ramos, no una auditoría independiente. No hay en las fuentes citadas una cifra independiente que mida el alcance total de Así veo las cosas en todas sus plataformas.

Como contexto general, Pew Research Center informó el 19 de marzo de 2024 que el 65% de los adultos hispanos de Estados Unidos prefería recibir noticias en dispositivos digitales. En la misma página, Pew indicó que el 87% obtenía noticias a veces o con frecuencia mediante dispositivos digitales. La primera cifra mide preferencia y la segunda frecuencia; ninguna mide la audiencia del programa de Ramos.

La secuencia es clara: salida de Univision en diciembre de 2024, anuncio de regreso en junio de 2025 y lanzamiento de Así veo las cosas ese mismo mes. En 2026, el proyecto ya tenía una cobertura electoral anunciada junto a Salinas. ¡HOLA! informó el 5 de junio de 2026 que el programa había ganado el Emmy de Noticias y Documentales 2026 a Mejor Programa Informativo en Español; esa atribución corresponde al medio que publicó la noticia.
