The relationship description in that account came from an unnamed source cited by People—not from a public statement by Gerber or Pullman.
What the birthday-party report said
A Jan. 30, 2025, story by Perez Hilton said Gerber and Pullman were seen at Salazar in Los Angeles for Pullman’s birthday, citing People’s reporting. The secondary account quoted an unnamed People source as saying, “They’ve been spending time together the last few weeks.” The source also characterized them as “a cute couple and very low-key.” Perez Hilton’s account is the available route to those details; the original People article was not directly surfaced.
Those descriptions should be read as an unnamed source’s characterization, not as a confirmation from either celebrity. The account describes the gathering and reported time together, but does not establish when a relationship began or what Gerber or Pullman privately called it.
How the outing related to the Austin Butler split
The story framed the birthday gathering as following news that Gerber and Butler had split. That framing supplies public context, but it does not establish the private chronology of either relationship. It also does not explain why Gerber and Butler separated. The report’s phrase “get cozy” should not be taken to prove specific behavior beyond the reported appearance together.

What later coverage added
Later entertainment coverage continued to describe Gerber and Pullman as a couple. E! News referred to Pullman as Gerber’s boyfriend in its 2026 Oscars coverage, and ELLE reported that the pair attended a wedding together in April 2026. A July 29, 2026, Cosmopolitan timeline also recapped their relationship and attributed a positive description to a source close to Gerber. These are dated reports, not an on-the-record announcement by Gerber or Pullman, and they do not guarantee the pair’s status at any later date.

What is—and is not—confirmed
The clearest account of the birthday outing is secondary reporting that attributes its relationship description to an unnamed People source. It supports saying Gerber and Pullman were reportedly seen together at his birthday gathering and that the source said they had spent time together for a few weeks. It does not support presenting the source’s words as either celebrity’s statement, pinning down a relationship start date, or drawing conclusions about the Butler split.
