What happened to the Julien Baker and TORRES tour?
The artists announced on May 4, 2025, that the remainder of their joint Send A Prayer My Way tour was canceled. The tour supported their collaborative country LP of the same name. The announcement concerned the tour dates; it did not say the album had been withdrawn. Pitchfork reported the announcement and reproduced the artists’ statement.
The statement read: “Due to recent events, Julien Baker is prioritizing her well-being and taking time to focus on her health. Therefore, the Julien Baker & TORRES ‘Send A Prayer My Way’ Tour has been canceled. This decision was not made lightly, and we understand the disappointment this may cause for fans. We deeply appreciate your understanding.”
Why was the tour canceled?
The only public reason given in the announcement was that Baker was prioritizing her well-being and focusing on her health. The statement did not identify a diagnosis or clarify what “recent events” meant. Exclaim! likewise reported that no further health details were given. There is no basis in these statements to infer a particular condition or personal circumstance.
