Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 266 is already published; its release date is a historical question, not an upcoming announcement. Contemporary reports gave August 18, 2024, but VIZ’s currently surfaced Chapter 266 listing gives August 25. The accessible records do not resolve that discrepancy.
When was Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 266 released?
The Economic Times reported on August 7, 2024 that Chapter 266 would be available on August 18. ONE Esports also reported August 18 as the next chapter date, citing the MANGA Plus app. These are contemporary reports, not a primary publisher announcement: The Economic Times’ August 7 report and ONE Esports’ schedule report.

VIZ’s accessible chapter data does not line up cleanly with those reports. Its Chapter 266 listing snippet shows August 25, 2024; nearby pages place Chapter 265 on August 18 and Chapter 267 on September 1. VIZ’s Chapter 264 page, meanwhile, places Chapter 266 on August 18 and Chapter 267 on August 25. The official index records are therefore internally inconsistent in the results available: VIZ’s Jujutsu Kaisen chapter listings.
Because the reporting and listing data conflict, there is not enough evidence here to state a single date as independently verified or to explain the discrepancy as a confirmed delay.

Was Chapter 266 delayed?
Contemporary coverage linked the schedule to a Weekly Shonen Jump break, but that explanation appears in secondary reporting rather than a primary publisher notice. The Economic Times reported that the magazine was on break, and ONE Esports attributed its schedule information to MANGA Plus. Those reports provide context, not confirmation of a specific delay cause.
