Public reports and appearances have raised questions about whether Joseph Baena is close with Arnold Schwarzenegger’s other children, but they do not establish the siblings’ private relationship. The most pointed claim comes from an anonymous source cited in a 2023 report; photographs from a 2025 event show separate poses, not why the family posed that way or how its members feel.
How Joseph Baena is related to Arnold Schwarzenegger’s other children
Baena is Schwarzenegger’s son with Mildred Baena and the half-brother of Schwarzenegger’s four children with Maria Shriver. In a 2022 Men’s Health interview, Baena said he learned Schwarzenegger was his father in eighth grade, after the story became public in 2011. He described the abrupt media attention and the closeness he shared with his mother at the time.

What has been reported about the siblings’ relationship
On May 30, 2023, The Blast reported an account from an unnamed Page Six source characterizing the children Schwarzenegger had with Shriver as not loving Baena and taking the affair out on him. That is an anonymous-source claim repeated in a secondary report—not a public statement by Baena or any named sibling. The article also acknowledged that the family’s private dynamics were unclear.
Because the claim is not confirmed by a named family member, it should be treated as an allegation rather than an established description of the siblings’ relationship.

What the 2025 premiere photographs show—and what they don’t
At the June 11, 2025 premiere of FUBAR Season 2, Baena appeared in a photograph with Schwarzenegger, while a separate group photograph showed Schwarzenegger with his four children with Shriver. Parade’s June 14 report described the separate images. They document how people were photographed at that event; they do not establish why the poses were separate, whether Baena was excluded, or what the siblings privately feel.
Baena’s relationship with his father is a separate question
In the same 2022 Men’s Health interview, Baena described eventually bonding with Schwarzenegger over fitness and beginning to train with him around his 18th birthday. That account offers context about the father and son, but it does not tell us how Baena relates to his half-siblings. The two relationships should not be treated as interchangeable.

What can be concluded
The public record cited here supports saying that distance has been reported and that separate photographs prompted speculation. It does not confirm a current rift or establish the siblings’ private feelings. None of the cited coverage supplies a named, first-hand statement from Baena or one of his four paternal half-siblings definitively describing their current relationship.
