What did Joey Bada$$ say about Unique and Ronnie?
In an interview excerpt published by Yahoo Entertainment on December 30, 2023, Bada$$ described Unique as welcoming Ronnie’s return because he had lost his right-hand man the previous season. The actor’s reaction was: “Unique was excited that his brother was home, and he looked at it like… in the last season, he lost his right-hand man. But boy, was I wrong. I wish I could have told Unique. I wish I could have warned him.” Yahoo Entertainment interview excerpt.
The comment is about Unique’s expectations within the story, not a real-life event involving Bada$$. It captures the dramatic irony of the twist: the character saw Ronnie’s return as a possible source of support, while the audience later learned that his optimism was misplaced.
