How did the rest of the look balance the top?
Ortega paired the exposed, jewel-built top with a sleek, low-waisted black skirt featuring a thigh-high slit, then finished the outfit with black heels. Vogue identifies the shoes as Louboutin platforms; other coverage describes the footwear as strappy or platform heels.
The contrast did much of the styling work: vivid, reflective stones against a clean black silhouette, with the slit adding movement and revealing the shoes. The result was more distinctive than describing the ensemble simply as a sheer dress.
