What Jake Paul said about White’s decision
On January 27, 2025, Telecom Asia Sport reported Jake Paul’s reaction: “Dana White didn’t let Conor fight Logan bc of his hatred for me? Haha. I hope this is bs. Can’t be that petty can he?” Telecom Asia Sport reported the wording, but the underlying social post was not independently authenticated in the reviewed sources. Jake framed White’s alleged motive as a question; the remark does not establish why White opposed the proposal.
Which fight was being discussed?
The proposed exhibition was Conor McGregor against Logan Paul, not Jake Paul. On January 15, UFC CEO Dana White publicly dismissed the idea of McGregor returning for a boxing exhibition against Logan. McGregor was under UFC contract, and MMA Fighting reported that the contract required UFC approval for outside competition. White’s public rejection and the approval requirement explain the immediate context, but neither confirms a scheduled bout.

On January 17, Logan Paul said he would take the fight if McGregor wanted it. He described the need for McGregor to obtain UFC approval and for him to obtain WWE approval. Logan also discussed a potential $250 million figure and said McGregor had contacted him directly; the alleged message was Logan’s account, not independently established evidence of a deal. McGregor said the UFC was not interested
On January 24, McGregor said, “The UFC just aren’t into it,” and claimed an offer had been put in writing. That is McGregor’s account of the discussions; it does not independently establish that the offer was binding or that a fight had been finalized. Was the McGregor–Logan Paul fight confirmed?
No confirmed fight date or completed deal was established in the January 2025 coverage. The Associated Press reported on January 28 that it remained unclear whether the matchup would happen. The $250 million figure was a reported potential payday, not a verified purse, and the proposed India event should not be treated as an announced, completed arrangement. The Associated Press report described the uncertainty at the time.

How Jake Paul’s earlier dispute with White fits in
Jake and White had discussed a separate hypothetical Jake Paul–McGregor matchup in 2022. White cited the size and weight-class difference, saying the Paul brothers were much larger than McGregor; Jake said he would fight McGregor at 175 pounds. That earlier exchange provides feud context, but it does not prove White rejected Logan’s later proposal because of hostility toward Jake. That later comment was about a wrestling storyline or matchup, not the proposed India boxing exhibition discussed in January 2025.
