What was Dear Basketball?
Dear Basketball was the animated short that won the category—not an acting performance or a basketball achievement. The Academy’s January 23, 2018 nomination announcement listed it as a Glen Keane Production and used the historical platform label “Verizon go90.” That listing does not establish where the film can be watched today.
Did Bryant win an acting Oscar?
No. The award was for the film in the animated-short category; it was not an acting-category Oscar for Bryant.
