Kristen Bell’s 2025 Emmys gown
Contemporaneous coverage identified Bell’s dress as Giorgio Armani Privé. Its defining feature was a backless silhouette, with black straps crossing over the bodice and cutouts at the front. Silver embellishment continued over a semi-sheer skirt, giving the gown a mix of dark structure and sparkle.
The reports describe the designer and appearance, but do not identify a retail model, price, or place where the gown could be purchased. Marie Claire’s account of Bell’s look and E!’s red-carpet coverage both place the gown at the 2025 ceremony.
How Dax Shepard joined her on the red carpet
Shepard wore a black suit, and the couple posed together at the event. ABC News and Getty Images also identify Bell and Shepard at the awards. The ABC News photo coverage and Getty Images’ event caption date their appearance to September 14, 2025, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.

The makeup inspiration behind the look
In an interview with Who What Wear, makeup artist Courtney Hart said she drew inspiration from the gown’s black strap detail. “With Armani being so timeless, I wanted to focus on that signature luminous skin,” Hart said.
The interview names Armani Smooth Silk Eye Pencil and Eye Tint as part of Hart’s makeup approach. That documents products associated with the artist’s look; it does not establish that Bell applied them herself or that the products are currently available through a particular retailer.
