The announcement is historical: the replacement residency dates later ran from July 17 through August 15, 2026, and have passed.
Which shows were postponed?
On August 6, 2025, Clarkson announced that she was postponing four performances at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace: August 8–9 and August 15–16. The Los Angeles Times reported that she described the shows as postponed, not canceled. At the time of the announcement, replacement dates and refund details had not yet been provided.
Why did Kelly Clarkson postpone the August dates?
In a public statement reproduced by FOX5 Las Vegas, Clarkson said: “While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children’s father has been ill and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them.” The Los Angeles Times identified their father as Clarkson’s former husband, Brandon Blackstock. Clarkson did not disclose further medical details, so the reason should not be extended beyond what she shared.
Were the postponed shows rescheduled?
Caesars Entertainment announced replacement residency dates on November 3, 2025. Its official schedule listed a 2026 run from July 17 through August 15, including added performances on August 7–8 and 14–15. Ticketmaster’s event page also lists the July 17–August 15 dates. The run ended on August 15, 2026; these are not upcoming performances as of October 8, 2026.

How was this different from the July postponement?
The August decision was separate from a postponement of the residency’s opening weekend. On July 4, 2025, Clarkson’s team said the July 4 and 5 shows had to be postponed because preparation and rehearsals had taken a toll on her voice. FOX5 reported that ticket holders were offered a refund or the option to keep their tickets while rescheduling was arranged.
| Postponement | Dates affected | Publicly stated reason |
|---|---|---|
| Opening weekend | July 4–5, 2025 | Rehearsals had taken a toll on Clarkson’s voice; her team said she needed rest to avoid serious damage. |
| Remainder of the August dates | August 8–9 and 15–16, 2025 | Clarkson said she needed to be present for her children because their father had been ill. |
What should ticket holders do about an order?
The announcement coverage said refund information was not yet available when the August postponement was first reported; the later schedule listed 2026 dates. The available event and ticket pages do not establish the refund or exchange status for any particular past order. Anyone checking a specific purchase should review the order in the ticket account or contact the seller directly rather than assume a refund or exchange applies.
