Pickler performed a song she wrote with Jacobs
At the tribute, Pickler sang “The Woman I Am,” the title track of her 2013 album. She and Jacobs co-wrote the song. Speaking to the audience, she said, “My husband and I actually wrote this song together, gosh over a decade ago,” according to The Independent’s April 23, 2024, report.

She spoke about being nervous and returning to the Ryman
Pickler told the audience she was nervous about performing again. Entertainment Tonight quoted her as saying: “I’d be lying if I didn’t say I was not incredibly nervous right now. It’s the first time I’ve been up on stage in a while.” She also said she was honored to take part in the tribute to Cline, as reported by Entertainment Tonight and iHeart on April 23, 2024.
She recalled that her previous visit to the Ryman had been a date night with Jacobs: “The last time I was here in the Ryman Auditorium was with him on a date night,” The Independent reported.

What the appearance means—and what it does not establish
