StreamElements’ year-end account of Twitch in 2023 named Kai Cenat the platform’s most-watched creator, League of Legends its most popular game, and Diablo IV the year’s biggest new-game launch. The figures describe different chart categories and periods: Cenat’s total covers the calendar year, while Diablo IV’s headline total covers its Twitch launch week.
Kai Cenat was Twitch’s most-watched creator in 2023
StreamElements and Rainmaker.gg reported that Kai Cenat accumulated 109 million hours watched across 2023, making him the year’s most-watched creator in their account. His February-long subathon alone generated more than 43 million hours watched, a substantial part of the annual total but not the whole of it. GamesBeat’s December 19, 2023 coverage of the report also notes that Cenat ended xQc’s three-year run at the top.
League of Legends led the year-end game chart
League of Legends ranked as Twitch’s most popular game in StreamElements’ 2023 year-end account. The report attributed 248 million hours watched to the game across October and November, when the 2023 World Championship contributed to viewing. This is a two-month figure, not the game’s full-year total.
Diablo IV had the strongest new-game launch
StreamElements’ year-end coverage described Diablo IV as the leading new-game debut on Twitch in 2023. The game drew 70 million hours watched during its Twitch launch week. That launch-week figure should not be read as a full-year total or compared directly with a quarterly, first-month, or multi-platform measure.

Why other 2023 totals look different
Provider totals are not interchangeable: the chart period, platform coverage, measure, and ranking category all matter. StreamElements’ year-end article reports creator hours, game hours, and a launch-week result; Stream Hatchet’s Q2 game leaderboard combines Twitch, YouTube Gaming, and Facebook Live. Its figures therefore are not Twitch-only totals.
