Grant also thanked people for their congratulations before making the key point explicit: “Except we didn’t get married.” She cautioned that, although good news is welcome, the claim was “still fake news,” and urged people to be careful.
Where did the marriage rumor come from?
The claim spread online alongside wedding images that the Times described as AI-generated. The combination of an unverified report and fabricated-looking imagery gave the rumor a visual component, but neither establishes that a wedding took place. The representative’s denial and Grant’s own clarification directly contradict the marriage claim.
