Spoilers for all four seasons of Jurassic World: Chaos Theory. The series ends with the Nublar Six escaping BioSyn’s preserve after trying to stop its dinosaur-assassin program and save Bumpy. Ben is badly injured but survives, and the epilogue brings the friends back together—without suggesting that their fractured trust is instantly repaired.
What happens in the final season?
The fourth and final season places the Nublar Six at BioSyn’s complex during the events of Jurassic World Dominion. Their mission divides: some work to expose and stop the illegal program using dinosaurs as assassins, while Kenji and Sammy focus on rescuing Bumpy, who has a newborn dinosaur.
With Dr. Wu’s help, the group deletes the program’s files. That victory does not end the danger. A wildfire, power failures, dinosaurs moving through the valley, and pursuing Atrociraptors turn the preserve into a race to get out alive.
Does Ben die?
No. A Stegosaurus gores Ben, leaving him gravely injured, and the others rush to get him medical help. The group escapes by helicopter, and Ben survives. His fate gives the ending real peril, but not the fatal loss the writers considered.

What happens to the Nublar Six afterward?
The epilogue reunites the six at Darius’s cabin in California and offers brief updates on the lives they are building after the BioSyn disaster. The ending explainer reports that Darius stayed in Italy to help dinosaurs; Yaz and Sammy work with Dr. Wu on the consequences of the locust crisis; Brooklynn is reconnecting with her family after hiding that she was alive; and Kenji now lives with Darius. These are the explainer’s account of the epilogue, rather than details set out in an official episode-by-episode recap.
Does Brooklynn make up with her friends?
The reunion is a beginning, not a declaration that everything is forgiven. Showrunner Scott Kreamer said the writers wanted Brooklynn’s choices to have consequences and wanted her relationships with the others to develop over time. That makes the closing scene hopeful without erasing the harm or responsibility behind the group’s conflict.

Why does the ending let Ben survive?
Kreamer said the writers debated whether Ben should make it. He explained the choice in an interview: “I’ll be honest, I go back and forth on whether or not we did the right thing or not. But at the end of the day, we put these kids through so much over 90 episodes. I wasn’t opposed to the idea that they deserve a happy ending.” The line captures the finale’s balance: the characters face a serious cost, but the story chooses a chance at a shared future.

Netflix describes Chaos Theory as taking place six years after Camp Cretaceous, with the Nublar Six navigating a world where dinosaurs and people threaten them as they investigate a conspiracy. The final season deliberately overlaps with Dominion: Kreamer said the team wanted to finish the group’s story while incorporating key events from that film’s third act. DreamWorks likewise frames the series as a mystery in which the Camp Cretaceous group uncovers a global conspiracy endangering both dinosaurs and people.
